I wasn’t sure if I should post this episode and I still feel immense vulnerability from doing so…I’m going to take that as a sign to do it.
The other day I was staring out my window as a monsoon storm swept through Southern Arizona near Mexico and I suddenly bolted off the couch to grab my journal. I quickly wrote 5 thought patterns that were negatively affecting every aspect of my life and my entire worldview about myself. Some have been around since childhood and all of them mold the man I am and will become unless I consciously change them. Here they are:
1. I’m not doing enough
2. I’m not good enough
3. Other people are better then me
4. I’m wasting time
5. If people actually knew the real me, they wouldn’t like me
I am not sure how or why they presented themselves to me in that moment but once I wrote them down, I felt a lightness that took hold for days. In this episode I go through those deep subconscious models and what I am doing to defeat them.
